TCCC - Advanced
Tactical Combat Casualty Care was developed by the Defense Health Agency. TCCC - Advanced is TCCC - CLS (Combat Live Saver), which all Active Duty Expeditionary or personnel who are capable of being deployed to an active combat zone are required to receive training on. This curriculum covers the the three phases of TCCC and the full implementation of MARCH PAWS algorithm.
Approximate time of completion is 4 days, with a maximum class size of 4 students.
Students MUST bring a means of taking notes.
Upon completion of this course all students will receive a certificate of completion.
In this course you will conduct:
Rapid casualty assessments
Tourniquet application
Hemostatic dressing application
Pressure dressing application
Airway maneuvers
Nasopharyngeal airway application
Chest seal application
Recognizing and treating hypothermia
Recognizing and treating head injuries
Recognizing and treating burns
Recognizing and treating fractures
Patient turnover with medical personnel
A scenario testing your newly learned skills while under stress
