TCCC - Basic
Tactical Combat Casualty Care was developed by the Defense Health Agency. TCCC - Basic is TCCC - ASM (All Service Members), which all Active Duty personnel are required to receive training on. This curriculum covers the three phases of TCCC and the basic implementation of the MARCH algorithm.
This curriculum will take approximately 8 hours to complete, with a maximum class size of 10 students.
Students MUST bring a means of taking notes.
Upon competition of this course all students will receive a certificate of completion, making them eligible for the next echelon of training
In this course you will conduct:
Rapid casualty assessments
Tourniquet application
Hemostatic dressing application
Pressure dressing application
Airway maneuvers
Recognizing and caring for head injuries
Recognizing and caring for burns
Recognizing and caring for fractures
Patient turnover with medical personnel
A scenario testing your newly learned skills while under stress
All students will have an option to purchase a basic trauma kit upon completion of the course.
